MINALOC launches Imibereho social registry system

On Tuesday, 16 January, MINALOC kicked off awareness campaign of Imibereho Social Registry System – which is a dynamic gateway to quality of data and information on household welfare, facilitating synergies across programs. It is a reform initiative towards building Rwanda’s social protection floor to enhance effective delivery, coverage and equity in access to social programs for the poor and vulnerable. Operationalizing the SR has halted in the use of Ubudehe categories.

Currently citizens are using their phone (*195#) to verify household’s information recorded in the new system. Unregistered people go to Administrative Cell Office to register, the same for those who have information that needs to be corrected.
